Despite not being involved in the passing game at all, Josh Jacobs scored three touchdowns and rushed for 106 yards, tearing through the San Francisco 49ers' defense during Week 12. They were just unable to stop the Green Bay running back.
We can project a good rushing performance again, but when it comes to touchdowns, is it James Cook who scores for the Buffalo Bills? He may, and he is the betting favorite, but it’s quarterback Josh Allen who makes the most sense to back.
Getting +125 odds on the 6-foot-5 QB feels like great value.
His big body is perfect for short-yardage and red-zone situations, and Allen's ability to run the ball has been a key part of his game since entering the NFL — scoring 58 touchdowns with his feet. Last season’s total of 15 was a career high, and while he might not hit that number, it’s still part of his game he regularly uses in big moments.
He’s rushed for five touchdowns in 11 games this year, finding the end zone in back-to-back games against the Colts and Chiefs before the team had their Week 12 bye.
Now Allen comes into this game fresh with his team still chasing the Chiefs as the AFC’s No. 1 seed, hungry to win.
