With more and more athletes taking to social media to interact with fans (for better or worse), the need to feel connected to your favorite players is at an all-time high.

Fans want behind-the-scenes access to how these elite athletes go about their day-to-day lives while maintaining their professionalism and delivering for their teams.

Lucky for you, Netflix has dropped a brand new football series called "Receiver", and it looks like must-see TV:

It gets even better, as FanDuel Sportsbook has created some intriguing season-long betting markets for every player featured in the series.

Join me now as I examine the props available and deliver my best bet for the stars of Netflix's newest sensation.

Regular season receiving TDs

Player Total Over Under
Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown 7.5 -128 +100
Raiders Davante Adams 7.5 +108 -136
49ers Deebo Samuel 4.5 -142 +112
49ers George Kittle 5.5 +116 -148
Vikings Justin Jefferson 7.5 -102 -126

Odds as of 7-11-2024.

It should come as no surprise to see the elite receivers on this list saddled with a receiving touchdown total of 7.5. Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Davante Adams both eclipsed this total last year, while Justin Jefferson had just five, albeit in 10 games.

Then we have a pair of San Francisco 49ers players, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle. Samuel has found paydirt at least five times in two of the last three years, while Kittle has gone for six or more in three straight seasons. Given how much Christian McCaffrey is involved in the offense, it's hard to trust either player to outperform expectations, especially in a year, where I believe the Niners may struggle.

Regular season receiving yards

Player Total Over Under
Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown 1250.5 -112 -112
Raiders Davante Adams 1000.5 -112 -112
Vikings Justin Jefferson 1300.5 -112 -112

Odds as of 7-11-2024.

For some reason, we are only being offered three-player markets here, but I do believe Amon-Ra St. Brown can replicate his success last year when he had 1,515 receiving yards.

In a similar fashion, Davante Adams should be in line for a big year, despite having to work with Aidan O'Connell under center. He's failed to exceed the 1000-yard mark just once over his last six seasons, and someone has to catch passes for Las Vegas.

Lastly, Justin Jefferson is coming off a year where he played in just 10 games due to injury, but he still hauled in 1,074 receiving yards and five touchdowns. If he can stay healthy and find some chemistry with Sam Darnold and/or J.J. McCarthy, the sky is the limit for Jetta.

NFL receiver picks and predictions

One play stands out to me as I break down the two tables above and that's Davante Adams Over 7.5 receiving touchdowns at a plus-money price.

I may be alone in thinking this, but Davante Adams is severely underrated. This is a receiver who has eclipsed the right receiving touchdown make in seven of the last eight seasons, including his last two in Las Vegas, without Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball.

Some would be quick to point out the lack of a real QB Adams will be working with, but someone has to catch passes for Vegas, and you'd be foolish to bet against Adams.

Pick: Davante Adams Over 7.5 receiving touchdowns (+102 at FanDuel)
