The Tennessee Titans visited the Washington Commanders on Sunday with a bit of momentum on their side.
The hosts, can't say the same, dropping three straight games and looking like a far cry from the team they were early on in the year.
My Titans vs. Commanders predictions and NFL picks for Sunday, December 1 believe the Titans can keep this one close throughout.

My analysis
Just weeks ago this Tennessee Titans at Washington Commanders game looked like a sure thing for the home team. Over the past three weeks, it’s beginning to look far more like a challenge. That said, the line has moved from the Titans being 1.5-point underdogs to six points, despite that, the trending data shows that the Titans have a great chance of covering here.
November started with the Commanders beating the Giants. That win took them to 7-2 and a 7-1-1 record against the spread. They were a win ahead of the Eagles in the NFC East and looked like they had a great chance to win. Since then it’s unraveled, with the team losing three straight, failing to cover, and seeing their divisional rivals overtake them and move two wins clear with six weeks left to go.
The biggest issue is that the offense just doesn’t look the same as the unit that was taking the NFL by storm earlier in the season.
Jayden Daniels looked like he had Offensive Rookie of the Year wrapped up as he entered Week 7's game against the Panthers, but a rib injury there took him out of the game. He returned the next week but he hasn’t played to the same level we saw pre-injury and has seen Bo Nix close him down in the OROTY betting.
The offensive line has struggled in these past three defeats allowing Daniels to be sacked 3.3 times per game. Last week the team couldn’t stop turning over the ball with one fumble and two interceptions. Then this week they find themselves banged up at running back, with Austin Ekeler and Brian Robinson both looking like risks ahead of Sunday’s game, with Ekeler DNP on Thursday’s practice and Robinson being limited. The ability to run the ball will be essential against the Titans, who have the meanest secondary in the league, allowing just 169.6 passing yards per game.
While the Commanders are beginning to see their season breakdown, we’re seeing something of a resurgence from the Titans. The defense has been a real standout all season but the return of Will Levis has really boosted the team.
The sophomore has struggled since joining the NFL but has looked hugely improved in the past three games since his return. He’s had a QB Rating of over 100 in two of three games, having only had a 100+ QBR twice previously.
He’s also had two games of multiple touchdown passes, which is impressive given that he’d only had three in his 14 appearances before that.
The Titans also have Tony Pollard, who has been in electric form with two 100+ rushing yard games in the past month, and fresh off the back of a 24 carry, 119 yards, and one touchdown performance at the Texans.
Fresh off their third win of the season, it might still be too soon to say the Titans will win, but with a six-point cushion they should cover.
Titans vs Commanders same-game parlay
First up we’re going to take the Commanders to score Under 27.5 total points. This is a bit higher than their current points total of 25.5 but it feels safer. The Commanders have covered this in four of their 12 games this season but haven’t reached this total in any of the past five games.
To conclude our Same-Game Parlay we’re taking Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns for Will Levis. It’s far too early to say that he’s finally beginning to meet his potential but there’s been positive signs since he returned to the team, throwing two touchdown passes in two of three games. It’s also worth noting that the Chargers and Texans have good secondaries, making that achievement more impressive.
