It’s a staying alive kind of Tuesday in the NHL Playoffs. Four teams could be wiped out of the tournament, with the Maple Leafs, Islanders, Jets, and Predators staring down a 3-1 series deficit.

It might be the last time to get your tickets in on these teams, so we’ve scanned through markets and put together two NHL parlays.

Find out my NHL picks for April 30 below, and enjoy an SGP on each of the games taking place today!

NHL playoffs parlay picks April 30

  • Nylander anytime goal + Scheifele anytime goal + Forsberg Over 3.5 shots on goal (+662 at DraftKings)

  • Guentzel 2+ points + MacKinnon anytime goal + Marchand anytime goal (+1,387 at FanDuel)

Best NHL parlay picks for Tuesday

NHL parlay pick 1

William Nylander anytime goalscorer

Mark Scheifele anytime goalscorer

Filip Forsberg Over 3.5 shots on goal

It’s just about the most inopportune time for NHL leading goal scorer Auston Matthews to get hit with an illness — one that knocked him from the third period of Game 4 and has his status uncertain ahead of Game 5.

If there’s any way the Toronto Maple Leafs extend this series, other stars must light the lamp. With one game under his belt after missing the first three games of the series, William Nylander should be front and center for the Leafs’ attack Tuesday night.

He was 10th in the league in scoring with 40 goals and 98 points and has always been solid in the playoffs, sporting 40 points in 51 career playoff games.

With a video going around of Nylander showing frustration on the bench in Game 3, he'll use that as motivation to find the back of the net. Toronto needs a leader right now, and Nylander has the capability to do so.

Held off the scoresheet for the first time in the series in Game 4, Mark Scheifele will need to play a prominent role for the Jets to extend their series against the Colorado Avalanche.

He’s tied for the team lead in points in the playoffs and had a goal and two assists in the Winnipeg Jets’ series-opening 7-6 shootout. Since then, he’s had just one goal and one assist while racking up a -2 in each of the last three games.

Scheiefele hasn’t had a problem puncturing the Avs’ defense, as he’s put up five goals and 13 points in the last 10 regular-season meetings. Counting on the team’s leading scorer in the regular season to come through is worth a tack on to this 3-legged parlay.

And if the Nashville Predators are to bounce back from a brutal Game 4 loss, it’s likely Filip Forsberg will have his fingerprints on it. Getting pucks to the net is part of his game, which netted him 48 goals in the regular season and two goals thus far in Round 1.

Forsberg was fifth in the NHL in shots on goal in the regular season, and Game 4 was the only time this series he hadn’t mustered at least three shots on net.

With his shot line set at 3.5, expect Forsberg to be throwing everything at the net in a do-or-die Game 5.

NHL parlay pick 2

Jake Guentzel 2+ points

Nathan MacKinnon anytime goalscorer

Brad Marchand anytime goalscorer

Jake Guentzel should be front and center when the Carolina Hurricanes look to close out the Islanders in Game 5. He has points in three straight games, with an assist each in Games 3 and 4.

So why is the proper target two or more points in Game 5? Since being acquired from the Penguins, Guenztzel has not gone more than two games straight without a multi-point effort.

In the three times he’s had two points or less in two games, he’s bounced back with a two-assist effort against the Red Wings, a two-goal effort against the Blues, and a goal and an assist against the Islanders in Game 2.

There’s never a bad time to put Nathan MacKinnon on your parlay ticket. He’s got two goals and seven points in four games vs the Jets, with multi-point efforts in all but one contest.

Going back to the regular season, MacKinnon has points in 17 of 21 contests against Winnipeg, including 13 goals. Take a flier on him to light the lamp in Game 5.

Let’s close with everyone’s favorite pest. Somehow, Brad Marchand has found time to still be ultra-annoying while piling on points. He has eight points in the series vs Toronto, including three goals in the last two games.

Two of those goals are on the power play, where the Boston Bruins are clicking at an absurd 46.2%.

Marchand has scored at least four goals in each of Boston’s last two Round 1 series. Here’s betting he makes it 3-for-3 as Boston sends Toronto packing in Game 5.

Today's NHL same-game parlay picks

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NHL odds to find your best SGP bets for each of the three games on Saturday's playoff slate:

Maple Leafs vs Bruins same-game parlay (SGP)

Sports Interaction

Bertuzzi anytime goalscorer

Pastrnak anytime goalscorer

Leafs team total Under 3.5

Let’s mirror my Bertuzzi shots prop with an anytime goal. Bertuzzi had five goals in seven playoff games last year and is still sitting on just one this year despite getting to the right areas of the ice. With Marner and Domi teeing him up, there’s a good chance Bert gets a few good looks tonight and hopefully scores on one.

Next up, let’s go with an anytime goal from David Pastrnak. He’s been held in check for the most part this series by Mitch Marner, but if Matthews is out, matchup responsibilities will shift over to William Nylander, who is less effective on his own end. That should free up Pasta a bit at 5-on-5.

For my final leg, let’s take the Leafs Total Under 3.5 because, well, the Buds can’t score. They’ve gone Under this number in 11 straight playoff games.

Islanders vs Hurricanes same-game parlay (SGP)

Teuvo Teravainen anytime goal

Islanders +2.5

Under 7.5

This has been a hard-fought, low-scoring series between these Metropolitan Division rivals. Each of the past two games had 3-2 final scores after 3-1 and 5-3 victories (with empty-net goals) to open things up.

We could very well see another 3-2 final score here, potentially in overtime, as the Islanders fight to stay alive.

Avalanche vs Jets same-game parlay (SGP)

Sports Interaction

Avalanche team total Over 3.5

Both teams to score in the first period

The Colorado offense can't be stopped and everything points to them being able to replicate the series' success again tonight in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg has to come out strong with their season on the line. Both teams have scored in the first period in half of the games so far and with the Jets sporting a thinner blueline, this should be a wide-open game. I do see the Colorado offense outlasting Winnipeg's, which has struggled to score late in three straight.

Predators vs Canucks same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 5.5

J.T. Miller anytime goal

Predators +1.5

Much should be made of Boeser’s unreal Game 4, but J.T. Miller was in lock-step with the Vancouver sniper, picking up assists on each of his goals.

After a sluggish start, Miller is now leading the team in scoring with six points through four games. He was especially prominent at Bridgestone Arena, with a goal and four assists in Games 3 and 4.

Miller hasn’t gone goal-less at Rogers Arena in three straight games since mid-March, picking up four goals in his last seven home games prior to the playoffs. This seems like a prime moment for him to light the lamp.

The last two games have ended in one-goal decisions, and there would have been a third if not for an empty-net goal in Game 1. Six of the last 10 head-to-head meetings have been decided by a single goal, and seven of Vancouver’s final 12 home games in the regular season were one-goal decisions.

Expect the Predators to keep things close with their season on the line.
