Best NHL Player Prop Bets Today, March 24: A Long Island Iced Stack

Not even a four-game NHL slate can stop Josh Inglis from offering up three stacks that offer up plenty of value. Find out why he's backing a pair of Islanders teammates to put up plenty of points vs. Columbus.

It was an incredible weekend with correlated linemate points as stacks won over 40 units across the weekend.

While there may be only four games on the board tonight, my NHL picks offer plenty of value with a trio of stacks.

These are my three favorite NHL player props for Monday, March 24.

Best NHL player prop bets for March 24

Anders Lee + Jean-Gabriel Pageau Over 0.5 points each (+300 at bet365)

The Columbus Blue Jackets have the worst expected goals allowed at all strengths over the last 10 days and the New York Islanders can flirt with four or five goals today vs. Elvis Merzlikins tonight. The Columbus starting goalie has a sub-900 save percentage since February, is 3-10 SU, and has allowed 3+ goals in 10 of his 13 games. The Pens shelled him for five goals on Friday.

This Anders Lee/Jean-Gabriel Pageau line played more time at even strength than the Bo Horvat line on Saturday and had the better-expected metrics in terms of goal% and Corsi/Fenwick. If you’re greedy, you can add Anthony Duclair to Lee and Pageau for +650.

This Lee/Pageau stack hit last Thursday at the same price vs. the Canadiens and considering the New York PP2 gets 45% of the two minutes, this is still priced too long. It should be around +220 to +230.

Clayton Keller + Nick Schmaltz + Logan Cooley Over 0.5 points each (+200 at bet365)

Logan Cooley got a promotion to PP1 three games ago and it has worked well with his correlated line with Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz. Cooley has five points over those three games (all at even strength) and the trio combined for four goals and three assists on Saturday in a tougher matchup vs. the Lightning.

It’s a home matchup vs. a Detroit Red Wings team that is on the third game of a four-game round trip (Colorado next) where it’s been outscored 10-4 through two games. The Red Wings are coming off a game that had four total special-teams goals and tonight’s match could see lots of PP action with both teams sporting bottom-10 penalty kills this month.

This price isn’t as good as Saturday’s +300, but the matchup is priced in here and I would buy this stack at any price of +180 or better.

The Utah Hockey Club could be facing Petr Mrazek who has been bad since the restart with a save percentage of .854 and 3+ goals in all but one of his six starts.

Quinn Hughes + Brock Boeser Over 0.5 points each (+130 at bet365)

There are some questions with the Vancouver Canucks as Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander are questionable in a good matchup vs. Jacob Markstrom who is falling apart since returning to the crease.

The New Jersey Devils goalie is 1-5 SU with a .833 save percentage across his six March games. Sadly, the lines might not be clarified until closer to puck drop tonight which is making me get a little more creative with the point pairings.

Quinn Hughes has a point in each of the six games since he returned to the lineup and Brock Boeser has done everything he can to save the Canucks’ season with six points over his last three games. He might have Pettersson on his line but Hughes and Boeser are the safest bets as losing Pettersson to injury again is not something I want to gamble with.
