March is coming to a close, and the playoff races are heating up around the NHL.
Let’s get right into my NHL player props and NHL picks for Sunday, March 30.

Best NHL player prop bets for March 30
John Tavares anytime goalscorer (+180 at BetMGM)
The Toronto Maple Leafs have a few key pending free agents this summer including John Tavares, and he’s surely been making himself some money in recent weeks. The centerman is up to 35 goals in 66 games this season after a torrid stretch.
He's coming off a two-goal game in Los Angeles on Saturday night to extend his goal streak to five games. He has a total of eight goals in that span on 15 shots.
March has been a great month for Tavares, and he’ll look to close it out with a bang on Sunday night. He has 13 goals in 14 games as the Maple Leafs look for that coveted top spot in the Atlantic Division.
The Anaheim Ducks allowed four goals to the Rangers last time out and a total of 23 goals in their last six games. Look for some open hockey on Sunday night, and I’ll take this price of +180 for Tavares to stay hot.
Troy Terry Over 2.5 shots (+122 at FanDuel)
On the other side of that Maple Leafs vs. Ducks game, we’re looking at Anaheim winger Troy Terry. Terry is one of the more experienced players on a young Ducks team and he’s been firing the puck at will recently.
Not only does Terry have at least three shots on goal in each of his last four games, but he has 4+ in all of them. That includes six shots in two of those for a total of 21 SOG in his last four contests.
The Maple Leafs haven’t been great at limiting opposing shot attempts this season, especially on the road. The Sharks and Kings put up 35 and 36 SOG, respectively, on this Toronto road trip, and even the Predators and Rangers had 30+ each earlier this month at home.
This is a spot where I'd also look to ladder Terry to have 4+ SOG at +330 and even 5+ at +700 given his recent play.
Trevor Moore Over 2.5 shots (+125 at bet365)
Trevor Moore is one of the more unsung heroes for the Los Angeles Kings. He consistently does his job no matter where he’s slotted in the lineup.
While his season total isn’t that impressive with just 135 shots in 62 games, he’s been much more active in the second half of the year. Moore has 3+ SOG in six straight games and nine of his last 12 since March 9.
Since just after the 4 Nations break on February 24, Moore has 45 SOG in 17 games. That includes 12 of 17 contests with at least three shots on goal.
The San Jose Sharks allow a ton of shots and the Kings should look to take advantage in this rivalry game. The Sharks have nothing to play for while the Kings are looking to secure home-ice advantage in the first round.
