Best NHL Player Prop Bets Today, March 25: Iafallo the Leader

Sportsbooks have yet to catch on to Alex Iafallo's promotion on the Jets' depth chart. Josh Inglis targets his generous points prop Over and much more with 10 games on the ice tonight.

The wild swings of NHL betting continued last night.

The stacks weren’t stacking last night and the card here went 0-for-3. Mondays have been the biggest losing days over the last three weeks (-14 units on all stacks), while in total, all stacks have been up +45.45 units since March 3.

It’s a big slate tonight with 10 teams in action, so there are lots to choices. These are my three favorite NHL player props for Tuesday, March 25.

Best NHL player prop bets for March 25

Dylan Cozens + Drake Batherson Over 0.5 points (+240 at bet365)

The Senators take on James Reimer and the Sabres tonight, which is great for the visitors' possible point production. Since coming over from Buffalo, Dylan Cozens has pointed in all but one of his eight games with Ottawa, and this correlated point prop combo with Drake Batherson has hit in four of the last six games at an average price of +240/+250.

There is a massive revenge factor here and there will be plenty of money on the board in the Ottawa locker room, which will be an even more motivating factor for the road team that is five points up vs. the No. 9 team in the Eastern Conference standings.

Most of Cozens’ markets are still too long. He is even money for a point (fair price is around -140) and +550 for a power-play point despite playing on the top unit. This is a game featuring two Bottom 10 penalty kills. That is way too long.

This is +222 at DraftKings, which is also a play as I have this fair price around +160.

Alex Iafallo Over 0.5 points (+155 at DraftKings)

Alex Iafallo has been promoted to the Jets' top line and is skating on the first power-play unit. He will have elite offensive opportunities, especially at home. This is a perfect example of how mispriced hockey point props can be when people move to better roles.

It may look like a tough matchup vs. the best team in hockey, but that is certainly priced in here. Washington leads the league in points, but their expected metrics over the last 10 games show a team that should have a negative goal differential. They are far from a shut-down team and have been playing in some shootouts of late with 33% of their 15 games since the break seeing nine or more total goals.

The full stack with Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele is +310 at DraftKings, but I’m not getting greedy here. Hopefully, he gets all of the Gabe Vilardi minutes, which would range from 17:30 to 19:30. But even 16/17 minutes with O-zone face-offs and PP1 time is worth the price here.

Philip Danault + Warren Foegle Over 0.5 points each (+350 at bet365)

Outside of the Jordan Kyrou line in St. Louis, the second line in Los Angeles has likely been the most profitable line to bet on this year. The odds are just massive and even without Trevor Moore (replaced by Trevor Lewis), this line still cashed a +325 stack on Sunday.

The books price it as a second line with PP2 time, but this line at 5-on-5 gets more time than the top line featuring Anze Kopitar. The duo of Warren Foegele and Philip Danault have pointed in the same game in 50% of their last eight games and are up 13.75 units over their last seven games. Even if Moore returns, I’m happy with the two-player combo as I don’t want to deal with the injury risk.

This will be the Rangers' first game on the West Coast and despite being off since the 22nd, this will be their 10th game in 18 days, where they are 3-6 SU.

Since the break, the Kings are 8-0-2 at home with a plus-2.2 goal differential per game.
