Liverpool travel to Craven Cottage on Wednesday for the second leg of their Carabao Cup tie. The Reds hold a 2-1 aggregate lead but will the West London side be able to defy the soccer odds to pull off a huge shock with a place at Wembley waiting for the victor?
I break down Liverpool's focus and offer free soccer picks for Fulham vs. Liverpool on Wednesday, January 24.

Fulham vs Liverpool picks and predictions
In West London this Wednesday we are set for a great game between Fulham and Liverpool. Craven Cottage is one of England’s most famous and loved stadiums and it will hold a Carabao Cup semi-final second leg under the floodlights, with the winner of the tie set to reach Wembley.
Taking place two weeks to the day after the first leg this is still wide open. Liverpool won the first leg 2-1 at Anfield but everything is still to play for. Fulham took the lead 14 days ago through Willian and had their fans dreaming of that famous Wembley arch but two second-half goals from Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo ruined their party and gave Liverpool, currently top of the Premier League, a lead to take to West London.
Ahead of this second leg, my best bet for the game is for Liverpool’s Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez to get on the scoresheet at odds of +160. Darwin Nunez is one of the Premier League’s most confusing players, dangerous and chaotic yet sometimes tough to predict. There’s a feeling that he’s not yet reached the levels that were expected of him since he arrived for big money from Benfica. That’s certainly true but it’s clear that there’s a player in there and this season he’s started to show his potential more regularly.
Liverpool are blessed with great attacking options. As well as Nunez they also boast Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo, who are all fighting for just three spots. In reality, that’s two with Salah a certain lock, although the Egyptian is currently away with his country at the African Cup of Nations where he’s suffered an injury. Because of this strength in depth, we’ve seen Nunez start just 13 of his 20 Premier League games this season and he’s only got one start in the Carabao Cup. That said I believe he is worthy of being a starter and Jurgen Klopp plays him in the biggest games, especially with the team’s principal goalscorer Salah currently being away.
Nunez has bagged 10 goals in all competitions for Liverpool this season and provided another 10 assists. He’s been in great form too. In his past five games, the 24-year-old has three goals and three assists. Not only that but his two-goal performance in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth was arguably his best in a Liverpool shirt so far.
With Fulham one goal down on aggregate it means they simply have to attack and play on the front foot. That’s likely to suit Nunez, with the team able to use him as a focal point when countering Fulham.
If Nunez can use his pace to get in behind the Fulham goal then I can’t see him not scoring. At +160 you’re getting a big price on a player who is looking like everything that Liverpool wanted when they signed him.
My best bet: Darwin Nunez to score (+160 at TonyBet)

Fulham vs Liverpool same-game parlay
Nunez has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season and faces a Fulham defense who are looking shaky this season, having given up 36 goals in just 21 Premier League games. With his physical attributes, he looks like a dangerous matchup for Fulham and I expect him to score against the West London team.
Secondly, I expect Liverpool to win. They’re the better team, as evidenced by the Premier League table, in which they have exactly double the points tally of Fulham. We know the home side need to score in this game seeing as they come in 2-1 down on aggregate. That means we’re going to see them push forward and with the likes of Jota, Nunez, and Dias there is so much pace in the Liverpool attack and they should be able to punish Fulham and score multiple times.
As much as I expect Liverpool to score I also think we’ll probably see Fulham score too. They know Wembley is waiting for them and they have nothing to lose by going to broke. With Liverpool missing both of their first choice fullbacks it should give Fulham some hope. Fulham scored in the first leg and they’ve actually bagged a goal in five of their last six meetings with Liverpool in all competitions, so you’d expect another goal here on Wednesday.

Fulham vs Liverpool side and Over/Under analysis
If you’re betting the moneyline on this game then you can get Liverpool at -137. It’s something I’ve included in my Same-Game Parlay for the game and I think they should win, especially given the likely game script with Fulham having to push men forward. If you want to back Fulham you can get +320 with the draw slightly shorter odds at +310.
If you’re expecting goals then you can get Over 2.5 goals at -161 and the Under at +130. Personally, I’d back the Over and I’m expecting three or four goals here. I also think we’ll see both teams getting on the scoresheet, something that you can bet at -167 too.
