The mood at Old Trafford is slightly better than it was two weeks ago. United came back from two behind to get a point in their away match against Everton, then they managed to beat Ipswich at home 3-2 despite being reduced to 10 men before half-time.
Given what's at stake, United will do everything possible to move into the next round. They are the current FA Cup holders and aim to have their name engraved once more on the trophy.
United have progressed in their last nine FA Cup games against Fulham. The last time the Londoners beat United in the Cup was in 1908. Their most recent Cup encounter was in the 2022/23 quarterfinals, with United coming out on top.
This will be Fulham's fourth game against the FA Cup's trophy holders. They were eliminated in each of the previous three games. Manchester United won twice against Fulham in the Premier League this season, beating them 1-0 on both occasions.
