There are many stories to tell after the Saturday EPL matches, and Wolves vs. Newcastle promises to add something to the drama.

Don't let the "winless Wolves" lead you to the wrong conclusion, though, as there is life in this pack, and my Wolves vs. Newcastle predictions break down why you should have faith in them. Find out more in my EPL picks ahead.

EPL predictions for Wolves vs Newcastle

My best bet:
Wolves to win or draw (-133 at Betano)

My analysis
Wolves have yet to lose at home to Newcastle since a 1-0 defeat in February 2017. In the six encounters between the two sides that took place at the Molineux since, there have been five draws and a Wolves triumph.

The cherished home of the Wolves turned out to be forbidden territory for Newcastle over the past seven years. Eddie Howe and his men won seven points so far this season, but each of the three matches they played involved a serious dose of suffering.

Newcastle beat newly-promoted Southampton 1-0 on the opening day of the campaign, then drew away in front of Bournemouth 1-1, only to return home and seal a 2-1 victory over Tottenham before the international break.

Wolves lost to Arsenal 2-0, then succumbed v Chelsea 6-2, but won their first point of the season away in Nottingham, drawing 1-1 with Forest. Wolves have life in them and will offer Newcastle a fair fight. The point they got in Nottingham needs to be placed in a different context, given Forest have just beaten Liverpool at home.

It's hard to imagine Newcastle leaving the ground where they struggled on so many occasions with the three points, so the double chance favouring Wolves looks great to explore. Betano has it at -133, which is excellent either as a standalone event or as part of a parlay.

Wolves vs Newcastle same-game parlay (SGP)

Wolves to win or draw

Anthony Gordon 1+ shot on target

Wolves Over 4.5 corners

In-form Anthony Gordon is fresh from starting for England in both Nations League matches played this month, and his excellent personal moment should see him taking more responsibility than before.

In Newcastle's previous away game, Gordon was the best man on the pitch, scoring and being a constant threat to his opponents. Wolves should be careful, too, but considering the "package" he's coming with, he'll be difficult to contain.
