Jedd Gyorko's RBI single in the top of the 10th inning Friday night lifted the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
Marcell Ozuna started the winning rally with a one-out walk against Raisel Iglesias (1-1). Yadier Molina slapped a hit-and-run single to right that pushed Ozuna to third, and Gyorko slashed a 1-2 pitch into left to plate Ozuna.
The result was St. Louis' eighth straight win over the Reds this year and its 12th in a row over them, dating back to last September.
Cincinnati forced extra innings with a two-run rally in the bottom of the ninth after a 36-minute rain delay, handing Bud Norris his second blown save in 14 chances.
