Enrique Hernandez hit a two-run blast to lead a home run barrage and the visiting Boston Red Sox defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 7-4 Wednesday night at Buffalo.
Rafael Devers, Michael Chavis, J.D. Martinez and Hunter Renfroe added solo shots for the Red Sox, who hit 11 home runs in sweeping the two-game series.
George Springer hit a two-run homer for Toronto and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Teoscar Hernandez hit solo homers.
It was the final game played by the Blue Jays at Buffalo. They will return to Toronto July 30 for the first time since 2019 because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Boston right-hander Garrett Richards (6-5) allowed four runs, four hits (three homers) and one walk while striking out five in 5 2/3 innings.
Matt Barnes pitched a perfect ninth to earn his 20th save.
Toronto left-hander Robbie Ray (8-5) allowed four runs, five hits (three home runs) and one walk in five innings. He struck out four.
Boston took a 2-0 lead in the third when Hernandez hit his 14th homer of the season -- and third of the series -- after Bobby Dalbec doubled.
Devers led off the fourth with his 24th homer of the season and Guerrero led off the bottom of the inning with his 32nd.
Chavis hit his second homer this season in the fifth.
Adam Cimber replaced Ray in the sixth and allowed a one-out double by Martinez and a two-out RBI single by Christian Vazquez.
Toronto scored three in the bottom of the sixth. Guerrero walked with two out. Springer hit his seventh homer of the season and Hernandez hit his 13th.
Garrett Whitlock pitched around Danny Jansen's two-out double in the seventh. Jansen, who limped into second base, and left fielder Danny Santana, who dove for the ball, left with injuries after the play.
Martinez hit his 20th homer this season with two out in the eighth against Jordan Romano. Renfroe followed with his 15th.
Adam Ottavino worked around a walk in the bottom of the eighth.
