Zack Greinke pitched six-plus innings, Alex Avila and Kevin Cron homered and the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Diamondbacks have won the first two games of the three-game series -- and have won three straight overall -- and will go for the sweep Sunday afternoon.
Aaron Sanchez (3-7) allowed five runs, six hits and four walks while striking out three in six innings. He has lost six straight decisions and has not won since April 27, a span of eight starts.

The Diamondbacks scored once in the second. Christian Walker walked, took second on a groundout by Ildemaro Vargas and scored on a single by Nick Ahmed.
Arizona scored three more in the third. Jarrod Dyson singled and stole second. Tim Locastro singled to first and Dyson took third. Ketel Marte blooped a single to center to score Dyson. David Peralta hit an RBI double and Ahmed hit a sacrifice fly.

Sam Gaviglio replaced Sanchez and pitched around a leadoff single in the seventh.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. led off the bottom of the seventh with a triple, but the Blue Jays failed to score. Andrew Chafin replaced Greinke and struck out Rowdy Tellez. Yoshihisa Hirano replaced Chafin and struck out Teoscar Hernandez and Brandon Drury.
Gaviglio pitched around a leadoff single again in the eighth.
Arizona's Matt Andriese took over in the bottom of the eighth and survived a walk and a single.
