Mike Trout hit two home runs -- including his sixth career grand slam -- and drove in a career-high seven as the visiting Los Angeles Angels defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 11-6 Wednesday night.
Trout added an RBI single in the ninth.
Justin Upton, who had not played this season until Monday because of a toe injury, also homered for the Angels, who have won the first three games of the four-game series.
Rowdy Tellez hit two homers and had four RBIs for the Blue Jays.
Each starter lasted only 3 2/3 innings.
Angels left-hander Andrew Heaney allowed four hits, four walks and five runs, striking out two.
Toronto right-hander Aaron Sanchez (3-9) allowed seven runs (six earned), nine hits and two walks without striking out a batter. Sanchez is 0-8 in 10 starts since he last won April 27.
Noe Ramirez (3-0) picked up the win after allowing one walk and striking out two in 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
Each team scored three runs in the second inning. Luis Rengifo singled with two outs for the Angels and scored on Tommy La Stella's double before Trout homered. In the bottom of the second, Freddy Galvis doubled, Danny Jansen walked and Tellez homered.
The Angels took a 7-3 lead in the fourth. Jonathan Lucroy singled leading off the inning, Rengifo doubled and La Stella reached first on catcher interference to load the bases. Trout followed with his 22nd homer this season.
In the bottom of the fourth, Heaney walked Cavan Biggio and Jansen to start the inning, allowed a two-out, two-run single to Eric Sogard, and was replaced by Ramirez.
The Angels scored twice in the seventh against Derek Law. Kole Calhoun singled and David Fletcher walked. With one out, Lucroy chopped an infield single to third to load the bases. Two runs then scored on Law's throwing error to second as he attempted to start a double play on Rengifo's comebacker.
Taylor Cole, who pitched a perfect bottom of the sixth, allowed a single and a walk in the seventh before being replaced by Cam Bedrosian, who got the final two outs of the inning.
Upton hit his second homer of the season against Jordan Romano with two outs in the eighth.
Tellez hit his 13th homer of the season against Bedrosian with two out in the eighth.
