Bryce Harper's second home run of the game, a three-run shot in the seventh inning, put the visiting Philadelphia Phillies ahead for good in a 9-6 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Friday night.
Corey Dickerson added a three-run triple for the Phillies, who blew a three-run lead before erasing a 6-5 deficit with a four-run seventh.
Adam Haseley opened the seventh against Giants left-hander Tony Watson (2-1) with a single, and pinch hitter Sean Rodriguez drew a walk. That set the stage for Harper, who crushed a shot an estimated 456 feet, delivering the Phillies an 8-6 lead.
The visitors tacked on an insurance run later in the inning when Rhys Hoskins walked, Dickerson singled and J.T. Realmuto hit a sacrifice fly.
Phillies relievers Mike Morin and Ranger Suarez retained the three-run cushion with a shutout inning apiece before closer Hector Neris put down the Giants 1-2-3 in the ninth for his 20th save.
Harper's earlier homer came in the fifth inning and gave the Phillies a 5-3 lead before the Giants rallied for three in the sixth, the first two on a Stephen Vogt two-run, game-tying bomb into the San Francisco Bay. The homer was Vogt's sixth of the year.
Donovan Solano's two-out RBI single put the Giants up 6-5.
After Kevin Pillar's 14th homer of the season, a solo shot, had given San Francisco a 1-0 lead in the second, the Phillies put up the first of their two four-run innings in the third. Dickerson's bases-loaded triple did most of the damage, and Jean Segura's sacrifice fly made it 4-1.
Joey Rickard also homered in his second game with the Giants.
Returning to the leadoff spot, Harper scored three runs and drove in four for the Phillies, who won for just the second time in five tries on their seven-game trip. The pair of homers increased Harper's season total to 22.
Dickerson had three of the Phillies' 10 hits.
Jose Alvarez (3-2), who got the final out of the sixth inning, was credited with the win.
Vogt finished with a single, double and homer for the Giants, who had won the opener of the four-game series 5-0 on Thursday night.
