San Francisco smacked New York 9-1 in the series opener, and the Yankees replied with an 8-4 beatdown of the Giants on Saturday, setting up the showdown for the series win Sunday.

The books are keeping this one close, pegging the Yankees as slight -115 home favorites in the MLB odds.

Despite ‘Frisco trotting out the more dominant pitcher, our Giants vs. Yankees prediction thinks this one will follow the high-scoring script these teams have been known for recently.

Giants vs Yankees prediction

My Giants vs Yankees best bet: Over 7.5 (-110 at Caesars)

This game features two of the Top 7 scoring teams in baseball. The Yankees currently lead the majors in scoring, putting up a healthy 6.38 runs per game. They hung eight on the Giants yesterday, using a five-run fifth inning to break open a 2-2 game and cruise to victory.

At home, the Yankees typically win big: they have scored at least eight runs in four of their five wins and have tallied just nine total runs in their three home losses. The offense will likely need to contribute Sunday to support starter Carlos Rodon, who’s been lit up in back-to-back starts.

Rodon gave up five earned runs in six innings of work in Detroit, taking the 6-2 loss. This after surrendering four runs and walking four in a 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

The Giants can put up runs as well, scoring an average of 5.08 runs per game so far in 2025. But the bats have slowed down of late, with San Fran losing three of its last five, scoring just four total runs across those three losses.

That’s, of course, sandwiched in between 17 runs across two games, including a big 9-1 thumping of New York, scoring five runs in the first inning to cruise to a rain-soaked win.

They’ll trot out ace Logan Webb for the finale, and he’s been dynamite of late. He’s 1-0 in his last two starts with a microscopic 0.64 ERA, giving up just one run across 14 innings against the Astros and Reds with no walks and 16 strikeouts.

Still, I think either the Yankees’ run machine gets to Webb or the Giants beat up on Rodon, or a combination of both. The Over has hit in five straight between these teams and eight of the last 10.

These teams have also combined for at least 10 runs in four straight games, so we’ll stay on trend for this one.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Giants vs Yankees same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 7.5

Aaron Judge Over 0.5 home runs

Willy Adames Over 0.5 runs scored

After an explosive start to the season, blasting six homers through the first seven games, Aaron Judge has not gone yard in seven straight games.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t producing, as Judge has had six hits, two runs scored and three RBI over those seven games and is still hitting a solid .347.

But if you are going to take a chance on Judge busting his slump, why not against Webb? In five at-bats, Judge has two hits, both coming by home run, with three RBI.

We’ll wrap this SGP with Willy Adames, who has plated in three straight games, and both games vs. the Yankees.

Adames is one of two Giants that has faced Rodon, going 3-for-13 with a double and two RBI. Look for Adames to find his way on base against the lefty and work his way home for a fourth straight game.
