Giants vs Phillies Prediction, Picks & Odds for Today’s MLB Game

Jung Hoo Lee's rookie season was cut short due to injury, but he seems to be making up for lost time for the Giants in 2025. Facing contact-forward Phillies righty Taijuan Walker plays right into his strengths and our favorite MLB picks.

The Philadelphia Phillies return home to host the San Francisco Giants at Citizens Bank Park tonight.

The Phils went just 2-4 on their six-game road trip, while the Giants started theirs by taking two of three at Yankee Stadium.

My Giants vs. Phillies predictions expect a certain San Francisco hitter to stay hot in the best MLB picks on Monday, April 14.

Giants vs Phillies prediction

My Giants vs Phillies best bet: Jung Hoo Lee Over 1.5 total bases (+112 at Caesars)

San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee is off to a terrific start this year. He is batting .352 (19-for-54) with a .704 slugging percentage and 1.130 OPS. The high-contact hitter is taking San Francisco by storm this season.

Lee is coming off one of the best games in his young MLB career, with two home runs in a 5-4 win over the Yankees. It was his fifth multi-hit game this season, and he's had a hit in 12 of 14 games thus far.

Perhaps what’s most impressive about Lee’s start is his extra-base hit numbers.

Of his 19 hits, 12 have gone for extra bases, with eight doubles, one triple, and three home runs. In fact, he's had an extra-base hit in four straight games and has gone Over 1.5 total bases in six of his last eight and nine of his last 12.

Philadelphia Phillies starter Taijuan Walker has had two solid outings to begin the season, but he walked the tightrope last time out in Atlanta. And since his first start was against a lackluster Colorado offense, it's safe to assume that he's going to regress to his usual self sooner rather than later.

Over 9

Lee has not only been getting on base, but he’s been coming around to score as well. He has 16 runs in 14 games and has scored a run in 10 contests thus far.

At 11-4 overall and 7-2 on the road, the Giants are also red-hot to start the season. They should be able to keep it up against Walker, and even the Phillies' cold bats can scrape together a few runs at home.
