Last Meeting ( Apr 29, 2014 ) San Diego 0, San Francisco 6

The San Francisco Giants seek their sixth victory in seven games as they wrap up a three-game series against the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Backup catcher Hector Sanchez had three RBIs as the Giants blanked the Padres 6-0 on Tuesday to improve to 9-5 at home and maintain a half-game lead over the Colorado Rockets in the National League West. San Diego was blanked for the fourth time this season and ranks last in the majors with 75 runs scored.

The Padres have been shut out in two of their last four games and have scored three or fewer runs in 19 of their 28 games. San Diego won Monday’s series opener and a victory in the finale would snap a nine-series winless streak at AT&T Park as the Padres last won a series in San Francisco by taking two of three to end the 2010 campaign. Giants star Buster Posey is 6-for-14 with two homers in his last four games to raise his average 34 points to .253.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
