Last Meeting ( Mar 29, 2008 ) Chi. White Sox 2, NY Mets 3

The Chicago White Sox have yet to find the form that led them to within three games of a playoff spot last season, winning 13 of their first 30 games. The White Sox look to ignite a run when they play at the scuffling New York Mets for the first time in franchise history Tuesday to start a two-game interleague set. Chicago scored in the ninth to tie and won in the 11th at Kansas City 2-1 on Monday to avoid a three-game sweep. The White Sox have not been above .500 since they were 4-3.

The Mets won two of their last three after a six-game losing streak. Captain David Wright has homered in each of the last three contests for New York, which will send ace Matt Harvey to the mound for the first time in eight days. The Mets will be trying to snap a four-game home losing streak.

He is 2-2 with a 1.84 ERA at home in his career and opponents are batting .153 against Harvey in 2013.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
