Turner Field

Last Meeting ( May 17, 2013 ) LA Dodgers 5, Atlanta 8

The Atlanta Braves haven't lost a series at Turner Field all season - and they haven't played many there. The Braves will try to ring up another series victory in their home park when they host the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second contest of a three-game set Saturday night. Atlanta is 10-5 at home but has spent far more time on the road, going 13-13 to watch its National League East lead dwindle.

The Dodgers entered the series having won four of five, but they dropped the opener of their six-game road trip, marking their fourth straight loss away from home. The Braves have gone as outfielder Justin Upton has gone, for the most part. Upton blasted a go-ahead grand slam in Friday's 8-5 win, and he is hitting .345 with 13 homers and 25 RBIs in 23 Braves wins compared with .193, one homer and three RBIs in 18 losses.

TV: 7:10 p.m. ET, KCAL (Los Angeles), Fox Sports South (Atlanta)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Dodgers LH Chris Capuano (1-2, 6.60 ERA) vs. Braves RH Kris Medlen (1-5, 3.44)

Capuano picked up his first win last time out, holding Miami to one run over 6 1/3 innings in his second start since coming off the disabled list. He will look to continue his success against the Braves, as he is 5-3 with a 2.75 ERA in 12 games (10 starts) and has won his last three decisions against Atlanta.

Medlen is winless in his last six starts and has dropped four straight decisions dating to April 9. He turned in back-to-back quality starts earlier this month but struggled his last time out, walking five and allowing five runs (three earned) on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings. Medlen has made six appearances (one start) against the Dodgers and is 2-0 with a 2.30 ERA.

WALK-OFFS

1. Braves OF Jason Heyward went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in his return to the lineup Friday after missing four weeks following an appendectomy.

2. Upton is 5-for-14 with a double, a triple and a home run against Capuano.

3. Dodgers OF Matt Kemp went 0-for-5 on Friday to snap a 14-game hitting streak. Kemp is 1-for-7 with four strikeouts against Medlen.

PREDICTION: Braves 6, Dodgers 4

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
