Philadelphia @ Arizona preview

Chase Field

Last Meeting ( May 10, 2013 ) Philadelphia 2, Arizona 3

Even though Roy Halladay is likely to miss the rest of the season following shoulder surgery, the Philadelphia Phillies still hold a pair of aces. Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels are capable of carrying the Phillies and Lee will take his turn when Philadelphia visits the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. Hamels lost 2-1 in Thursday's series opener while rookie Tyler Cloyd - Halladay's replacement in the rotation - turned in an exceptional performance in Arizona's 3-2 victory on Friday.

The Diamondbacks have won five straight and received some much-needed offense Friday from a pair of struggling regulars. Martin Prado snapped an 0-for-29 skid with runners in scoring position with a game-tying RBI single in the seventh inning and Miguel Montero (.202 batting average) delivered the game-winning home run in the eighth. Philadelphia's offense is struggling top to bottom and is fifth-worst in baseball with an average of 3.5 runs per game.

The 25-year-old, who has a 1.16 WHIP and .225 batting average against, allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings in a 9-2 victory at Dodger Stadium on Monday. Three starts ago, he shut down Colorado for five innings to earn the win at hitter-friendly Coors Field. About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
