The San Francisco Giants continue to dominate the Colorado Rockies. San Francisco’s victory in the series opener was its 10th in a row over its National League West rival, and the Giants seek to extend the streak in Friday’s second contest of a four-game set. San Francisco is 4-0 against the Rockies this season and has won 12 of its last 14 games at Coors Field. The Rockies have lost seven of their last nine contests.

Colorado had an early 6-0 lead on Thursday and still couldn’t hold off the Giants. Angel Pagan hit the decisive two-run single in the sixth to give San Francisco an 8-6 victory. The last time the Giants overcame a 6-0 deficit also occurred at Coors Field, where they rallied for a 7-6 triumph on Sept. 23, 2005. Colorado's Wilin Rosario hit a three-run homer Thursday, his first blast since April 30 after hitting seven in the first month of the season. Rosario was 4-for-40 in May before going 2-for-4 in the opener.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
