Last Meeting ( Jun 10, 2013 ) Houston 2, Seattle 3

The Houston Astros look to snap their five-game losing streak Tuesday as they visit the Seattle Mariners for the second contest of their three-game series. After going 6-0 on its last six-game road trip, Houston is in danger of finishing with a reverse record on this six-game trek, which began with three straight losses at Kansas City. The Astros, whose slide began with a home loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, dropped a 3-2 decision to Seattle in the series opener.

Hisashi Iwakuma helped the Mariners record just their second win in six games, allowing just an unearned run in seven innings to avenge his only loss of the season. Raul Ibanez belted his team-leading 12th home run and Michael Morse added an RBI double as the Mariners pulled even at 4-4 on their 10-game homestand. Seattle lost two of three to the Astros at home from April 8-10 and also dropped two of three at Houston from April 22-24.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
