Arizona @ Los Angeles preview

Dodger Stadium

Last Meeting ( Jun 11, 2013 ) Arizona 3, LA Dodgers 5

Patrick Corbin looks to become the majors’ first 10-game winner on Wednesday when the Arizona Diamondbacks play the rubber game of a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Both teams figure to be warned before the game after five players were hit and the benches cleared during Tuesday’s contest. The Dodgers rallied for a 5-3 victory, snapping a five-game losing streak against the Diamondbacks.

With six ejections and emotions riding high, it was easy to overlook Kenley Jansen’s work in the ninth inning as the Dodgers’ new closer. Manager Don Mattingly removed Brandon League from the role after the 30-year-old right-hander blew his fourth save in Monday’s series opener. Jansen struck out two of the three batters he faced Tuesday for his third save.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
