Last Meeting ( Jun 15, 2013 ) Chi. White Sox 3, Houston 4

The streaky Houston Astros shoot for their fourth straight victory Sunday when they continue their four-game series against the visiting Chicago White Sox. Houston completed a perfect six-game road trip June 3 and split its next two contests before dropping six in a row. The Astros ended their skid with a triumph at Seattle on Wednesday and have captured the first two games of this set, both by one run.

Jason Castro and Chris Carter belted solo home runs in the fourth inning Saturday and Houston went on to post a 4-3 victory. It was the third straight loss for Chicago and second on its nine-game road trip. The White Sox have struggled mightily away from home, losing 11 of their last 12.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
