Philadelphia @ Los Angeles preview
Dodger Stadium
Last Meeting ( Jun 29, 2013 ) Philadelphia 3, LA Dodgers 4
Injuries conspired to limit Hanley Ramirez to four games in the first two months of the season, but the Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop is making up for lost time in June. Ramirez will take an 11-game hitting streak into Sunday's finale of a four-game series with the visiting Philadelphia Phillies. Ramirez belted a monstrous three-run homer and capped a three-hit night with a leadoff single in the ninth inning to spark Los Angeles' 4-3 walk-off victory.
Phillies second baseman Chase Utley missed a month due to injury but he also has made a big impact since returning to the lineup. Utley swatted a pair of solo homers in Saturday's loss, extending his hitting streak to eight games. Utley is 7-for-13 in the series and has four multiple-hit games and four homers during his hitting streak. Philadelphia is 3-3 on its current 10-game road trip and will be looking to salvage a series split Sunday.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Phillies RH Kyle Kendrick (7-4, 3.46 ERA) vs. Dodgers RH Stephen Fife (2-2, 3.41)
Kendrick is coming off back-to-back stellar outings, giving up two runs over eight innings in beating San Diego in his last turn after yielding one run on two hits versus Washington in his previous start. He has allowed two runs or fewer in 11 starts and has walked only five batters over 35 innings in five June starts. Kendrick is 5-4 with a bloated 7.58 ERA in 10 appearances (seven starts) against the Dodgers.
Fife halted a three-start winless streak last time out by limiting San Francisco to three runs on four hits in a season high-tying 6 2/3 innings. It was the fifth consecutive solid outing by Fife, who has allowed nine earned runs during the span. Fife made his major-league debut versus Philadelphia on July 17, 2012, and gave up one run on four hits in six innings.
WALK-OFFS
1. Ramirez is batting .500 (20-for-40) with 14 RBIs during his hitting streak.
2. Slumping Phillies 1B Ryan Howard is expected back in the starting lineup after being held out the last two games.
3. Dodgers 2B Skip Schumaker is 9-for-20 with two homers against Kendrick.
