Last Meeting ( Jun 29, 2013 ) San Francisco 1, Colorado 2

Michael Cuddyer isn't just extending his impressive hitting streak - he's also making a dent on the scoreboard. After driving in three runs in the first two contests, Cuddyer will look to increase his major league-leading hit streak to 27 contests as the Colorado Rockies vie for a three-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. Cuddyer belted a two-run homer in Friday's 4-1 victory before ripping an RBI single to open the scoring in Saturday's 2-1 triumph.

Rookie Nolan Arenado gave Colorado its seventh walk-off victory of the season with a run-scoring single in the ninth. On the flip side, San Francisco has mustered just 12 runs during its season-high six-game skid. Buster Posey has accounted for both runs in the set, belting a homer in the series opener and an RBI single on Saturday.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Giants LH Madison Bumgarner (7-5, 3.20 ERA) vs. Rockies LH Drew Pomeranz (2012: 2-9, 4.93)

Bumgarner saw his three-game winning streak come to an end despite yielding just three runs on five hits in seven innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday. The 23-year-old owns a 6-4 career mark versus the Rockies but was blasted for nine runs over a season-low 4 2/3 frames in a 10-9 loss on May 17. Bumgarner has pitched at least six innings in six of his last seven outings.

Pomeranz will make his season debut after posting an 8-1 mark in 15 starts for Triple-A Colorado Springs. The 24-year-old split a pair of decisions versus San Francisco despite yielding nine runs and 16 hits in 15 1/3 innings. While the 5.28 ERA isn't impressive, Pomeranz has posted a 1.17 WHIP while limiting the Giants to a .267 batting average.

WALK-OFFS

1. Cuddyer is 3-for-6 with a double in his career versus Bumgarner.

2. San Francisco will attempt to avoid a seventh straight loss - a dubious feat last accomplished by the Giants on June 26-July 2, 2010.

3. Colorado has won five of six meetings with San Francisco at Coors Field. Conversely, the Giants also have claimed five of six contests against the Rockies at AT&T Park.

PREDICTION: Giants 3, Rockies 2

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
