Cleveland @ Miami preview
Marlins Park
Last Meeting ( Aug 3, 2013 ) Cleveland 4, Miami 3
The Cleveland Indians have felt comfortable in tight games all season, improving to 22-13 in one-run contests after a 4-3 victory over the Miami Marlins on Saturday. Winners of nine of 10, the Indians look to make it a little easier on themselves in the rubber match of the three-game series at Miami on Sunday. Jason Kipnis and Michael Bourn snapped out of mini-slumps with five hits combined on Saturday as Cleveland remained within three games of Detroit in the American League Central.
The Marlins failed to win their fourth straight game for the sixth time in as many tries, managing six hits after producing 16 on Friday. Miami slugger Giancarlo Stanton, who is batting only .195 with runners in scoring position, has one hit in his last 16 at-bats after going 10-for-16. Cleanup hitter Logan Morrison has picked up the slack with six hits in the series.
