Toronto @ Los Angeles preview

Angel Stadium of Anaheim

Last Meeting ( Aug 2, 2013 ) Toronto 5, LA Angels 7

With the Los Angeles Angels well out of contention in the American League, there's nothing left for Jered Weaver to do except salvage his season. The 20-game winner in 2012 will try to win his third straight decision and fifth in seven starts when the Angels host the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday in the third contest of a four-game series. After missing nearly two months with a broken left elbow, Weaver has five victories in 2013 - after recording double-digit wins in each of his first six seasons.

Los Angeles made it two straight over Toronto when it rallied for three runs in the eighth inning to post a 7-5 victory. Rookie Kole Calhoun had a two-run homer among his career-high four hits while J.B. Shuck tied the game with an RBI triple and made one of the best catches of the season when he dove into the left-field seats to rob Jose Bautista of a two-run blast. The Blue Jays fell to 5-10 since the All-Star break as their disappointing season continues.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
