Los Angeles @ Miami preview
Marlins Park
Last Meeting ( May 12, 2013 ) Miami 3, LA Dodgers 5
The Los Angeles Dodgers saw their season-high 10-game winning streak come to an end after a pair of ninth-inning errors by Hanley Ramirez. The talented shortstop will look to atone for his miscues against his former team on Monday as the visiting Dodgers open a four-game series against the Miami Marlins. "It's tough to explain. We don't think about negative stuff. We just move on," said Ramirez, who competed in six-plus seasons with the Marlins prior to being traded to the Dodgers in July 2012.
Los Angeles, which owns a 7 1/2-game lead over Arizona in the National League West, suffered just its second road loss in 21 outings with a 3-2 setback to reeling Philadelphia on Sunday. Miami salvaged the finale of series with San Francisco as Jeff Mathis homered and ripped the go-ahead double in the eighth inning in a 6-5 triumph on Sunday. Monday's contest pits Marlins ace Jose Fernandez against fellow impressive rookie Hyun-Jin Ryu.
