Colorado @ Philadelphia preview
Citizens Bank Park
Last Meeting ( Jun 16, 2013 ) Philadelphia 2, Colorado 5
After putting forth a pair of woeful offensive efforts, the Philadelphia Phillies benefited from two defensive miscues by the opposition to present interim manager Ryne Sandberg with his first victory. The Phillies will vie for a winning streak on Monday when they open a four-game series against the visiting Colorado Rockies. Casper Wells scored the winning run after the second of Hanley Ramirez's ninth-inning errors as Philadelphia posted a 3-2 triumph on Sunday to salvage the finale of a three-game set versus the streaking Los Angeles Dodgers.
Colorado was outscored 15-6 en route to losing the final two contests of its three-game series versus Baltimore. The road has been especially brutal for the Rockies, who have dropped 24 of their last 32 away from home. Colorado's 22 road victories are more than only Miami (20) in the National League.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Rockies RH Jeff Manship (0-2, 7.20 ERA) vs. Phillies RH Ethan Martin (1-2, 6.28)
After pitching well in his season debut, Manship was battered for a career-high six runs on eight hits in an eventual 7-5 loss to San Diego on Tuesday. The 28-year-old pitched five innings in both outings. Manship has made two relief appearances versus Philadelphia, permitting four runs on seven hits in 7 1/3 innings in a pair of no-decisions.
Martin has been victimized by the home-run ball and multiple walks in all three of his outings this season. The 24-year-old allowed three runs on six hits in five innings en route to a 3-1 setback to Atlanta on Tuesday. Martin, who is filling in for the injured Jonathan Pettibone, has seen his pitch count elevate after issuing eight walks in 14 1/3 innings.
