Last Meeting ( Sep 10, 2016 ) San Francisco 11, Arizona 3

The San Francisco Giants look to build off back-to-back road victories for the first time in more than two months when they go for a three-game sweep at the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. The Giants managed a victory in 12 innings on Friday before they routed Arizona 11-3 on Saturday behind another big night from red-hot outfielder Hunter Pence.

Pence is 11-for-17 over the last four games with eight runs scored in the series for San Francisco, which trails the Los Angeles Dodgers by four games in the National League West while holding down the top wild-card spot. The Giants send left-hander Matt Moore to the mound Sunday against their nemesis Zack Greinke, who boasts a 9-1 record with a 2.35 ERA in 13 career games against San Francisco. The last-place Diamondbacks have dropped five straight games, allowing 36 runs in that span. Arizona’s Chris Owings was held without a hit in four at-bats Saturday after going 14-for-30 in his previous seven contests.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Giants LH Matt Moore (9-11, 4.14 ERA) vs. Diamondbacks RH Zack Greinke (12-5, 4.54)

Moore suffered through his worst of his first seven starts with the Giants last time out, allowing six runs and five hits (two homers) over 2 2/3 innings at Colorado. The 27-year-old gave up three or fewer runs in five of his first six starts after being acquired from Tampa Bay, but is just 2-4 overall with San Francisco. Paul Goldschmidt is 3-for-6 with a homer versus Moore, who limited Arizona to one run over 5 1/3 innings of a win on Aug. 31.

Greinke was pounded for eight runs and nine hits, including five homers, over 4 2/3 innings last time out against the Dodgers in a 10-2 setback. The former Cy Young winner beat San Francisco in his previous start when he yielded two runs (one earned) across six innings and is 2-1 in the season series. Denard Span is 13-for-43 with a pair of doubles versus Greinke, who is 5-3 with a 5.13 ERA in 11 home starts this season.

WALK-OFFS

2. San Francisco 3B Eduardo Nunez owns a seven-game hitting streak (10-for-28) after notching three Saturday.

3. The Diamondbacks swept four from San Francisco to begin the season series, but have dropped 12 of 14 since.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
