Colorado @ Miami preview
Marlins Park
Last Meeting ( Jul 25, 2013 ) Miami 5, Colorado 3
The Colorado Rockies are 11 games below .500 and out of postseason contention, but Wilin Rosario is hardly playing out the string. The 24-year-old, in his second full season, takes a major league-high 13-game hitting streak to Miami when the Rockies on Friday begin a weekend series against the Marlins. Rosario hit a three-run blast - his second home run in as many nights - in Colorado's 5-4 loss in Philadelphia on Thursday to increase his RBI total to 70, tops among major-league catchers.
It was the second consecutive walkoff loss for the Rockies, who are 9-27 in their last 36 road games and may be without closer Rafael Betancourt for the third time this season. Miami is coming off a 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers - its third straight setback - and is 2-5 on its 10-game homestand. Colorado's Jhoulys Chacin, who is 4-4 with a 2.14 ERA in 10 road starts, returns from the bereavement list and will face Tom Koehler, who is winless in three starts.
