The New York Mets wrap up an 11-game, four-city road trip on Monday when they visit the Minnesota Twins to to participate in a rescheduled game. New York won the first two contests in April before the series finale was postponed because of snow. The Mets fell to 4-6 on their road trip after suffering their second straight loss - a 4-3 setback to San Diego on Sunday.

Minnesota won the opener of a four-game set versus the Chicago White Sox, but dropped the final three contests to their American League Central rival. The Twins failed to belt a homer for the first time in 11 contests. Without the long ball, Minnesota struggled as it went 2-for-18 with runners in scoring position en route to a 5-2 setback on Sunday.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Mets RH Dillon Gee (8-8, 3.79 ERA) vs. Twins RH Kyle Gibson (2-3, 6.27)

Gee settled for a no-decision despite yielding two runs on seven hits in six innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. The 27-year-old has allowed just four earned runs in his last three starts (20 2/3 innings) - but only has a 1-0 mark to show for it. Gee has yet to face the Twins in his career.

Gibson collected his third straight no-decision after permitting three runs in 5 1/3 innings against Cleveland on Wednesday. The 25-year-old rookie kept the ball in the park - as opposed to the seven homers he allowed in his previous four starts. Gibson is searching for his first win since overcoming four walks to defeat the New York Yankees on July 14.

WALK-OFFS

1. New York placed RHP Jenrry Mejia on the disabled list with a bone spur in his right elbow. The 23-year-old Mejia felt pain during Saturday's start.

2. Minnesota C Joe Mauer is 12-for-29 during his six-game hitting streak.

3. Mets OF Marlon Byrd has collected multiple-hit performances in five of his last seven contests.
