Tampa Bay @ Chicago preview
Guaranteed Rate Field
Last Meeting ( Sep 29, 2012 ) Tampa Bay 10, Chi. White Sox 4
The Tampa Bay Rays have won nine of their last 10, but their postseason hopes are flickering as they head into Sunday's series finale versus the host Chicago White Sox. David Price will take the mound in search of his 20th victory for Tampa Bay, which has taken two of three from the White Sox after Saturday's 10-4 triumph. The Rays sit 3 1/2 games behind Oakland for the second wild card with only four contests remaining.
Chicago suffered its ninth loss in 11 outings to fall two games behind Detroit in the American League Central. The White Sox will face a red-hot Price, who has won 11 of his last 12 decisions while carrying the lowest ERA in baseball. The talented left-hander has struggled versus the White Sox, losing four starts before taking his last meeting in April 2011.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Rays LH David Price (19-5, 2.56 ERA) vs. White Sox LH Jose Quintana (6-5, 3.60)
Price collected his third straight win after striking out a season-best 13 in a complete-game gem versus Boston on Tuesday. The 27-year-old, who has posted a 12-3 mark away from home this season, is attempting to become Tampa Bay's first 20-game winner. Price has yielded just three homers in his last seven outings.
Quintana will vie for his first win since Sept. 10 when he takes the mound on Sunday. The 23-year-old rookie struggled in his last start, walking five in as many innings en route to a 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Sept. 22. Quintana allowed just one hit - albeit a solo homer - in 3 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on May 30.
WALK-OFFS
1. Chicago's Alex Rios, who collected a pair of hits on Saturday, is 7-for-14 with a pair of homers versus Price.
2. Tampa Bay C Jose Molina has missed his team's last four games due to a right quad strain.
3. White Sox leadoff hitter Alejandro De Aza was scratched from Saturday's game with flu-like symptoms. His availability for Sunday's tilt is unknown.
