Last Meeting ( Sep 17, 2013 ) Minnesota 3, Chi. White Sox 4

After putting forth a sickly 2-15 stretch, the Chicago White Sox are getting healthy at the expense of the Minnesota Twins. The host White Sox go for a three-game sweep and sixth consecutive victory over their American League Central adversary on Wednesday when they wrap up the season set. Chicago, which posted a 4-3 triumph on Tuesday, has outscored Minnesota by a 34-13 margin during the five-game win streak.

Alexei Ramirez has feasted on the Twins during that stretch, going 10-for-19 with two homers, four doubles and seven RBIs. The Cuban increased his career batting average to a robust .325 against Minnesota - and is 2-for-5 in a small sample size versus Wednesday starter Scott Diamond. The fourth-place Twins have lost six of seven - but still hold a 4 1/2-game lead over the cellar-dwelling White Sox.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Twins LH Scott Diamond (5-11, 5.61 ERA) vs. White Sox LH John Danks (4-13, 4.73 ERA)

Diamond dropped to 0-5 in his last eight starts after yielding five runs in 4 2/3 innings in a loss to Oakland on Thursday. The 27-year-old's last win came on June 20 at the expense of the White Sox as he allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings. The victory allowed Diamond to even his career mark at 4-4 versus Chicago - despite yielding a 4.70 ERA and .290 batting average.

Danks was battered for the third straight outing, permitting seven runs on nine hits in four innings as Chicago suffered a 14-3 setback to Cleveland on Thursday. The 28-year-old owns a 6-10 mark versus Minnesota, but settled for a no-decision Aug. 9 after allowing three runs on four hits in six innings. Danks has given up five of his 28 homers this season in his last two outings.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
