Last Meeting ( Jul 2, 2018 ) Chi. White Sox 3, Cincinnati 5

Jose Abreu is unlikely to be available when the Chicago White Sox visit the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday for the middle contest of their three-game interleague set. The slugger departed the series opener in the seventh inning with a bruised left ankle suffered when he fouled off a pitch in the previous frame.

The Reds rallied for four eighth-inning runs to post a 5-3 victory on Monday, with Alex Blandino delivering the tiebreaking two-run double. Cincinnati has outscored its opponents 25-8 during a three-game winning streak and has won 12 of its last 15 contests. Chicago has dropped four of its last five games and 13 of 18 as it sits 26 games below .500. Outfielder Leury Garcia (finger), who missed the series opener, could return for the White Sox after going 0-for-12 in a three-game span prior to Monday.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
