We're definitely not picking on the starting pitcher with this bet, as Logan Gilbert will be on the mound for the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. Gilbert has been one of the best starting pitchers in the American League this season, but as with any bet, there's always a buy point, and Gleyber Torres' home run prop is sitting way above that buy point on Thursday. Torres, to me, is a streaky player—the bat can get really hot but also really cold. Over the last seven days, Torres is batting .296 with two home runs. He is also 4 for 11 in his career against Gilbert, so there's history, and he clearly sees him well despite Gilbert being an elite pitcher. The projections price Torres at +620 to hit a home run, so with a +1000 available at BetMGM, we have a massive probability gap here that I simply couldn't pass up.
