The New Orleans Pelicans have a habit of playing - and winning - overtime games, especially during their remarkably dramatic five-game winning streak. They will try to muster up some energy and extend the run to six games when they host the Phoenix Suns on Monday.

New Orleans began the five-game surge with a double-overtime victory at Brooklyn and won overtime games against Miami and Milwaukee over the weekend, rallying from an 18-point, third-quarter deficit to steal one from the Bucks on the road on Sunday. "We seem to find a way to get into these overtime games," Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry told reporters after his team improved to 6-0 in overtime since Jan. 14. "The big thing is, if you look back, I think that's the fifth time we've been down at least 18 and come back and won. The good news is we've been able to do that, the bad news is I don't think we want to keep getting down 18." Nine straight losses have given the Suns the worst record in the NBA, and they've also dropped seven in a row on the road, which is where they'll play six of their next seven games. Phoenix blew a 15-point lead in the final seven-plus minutes while falling 106-104 at home against Portland on Saturday.

ABOUT THE SUNS (18-43): The two-point loss to Portland stands out amid a string of lopsided defeats that have made this the most difficult stretch of a tough season. "I'll take anything we can get right now," Troy Daniels, whose turnover in the closing seconds led to the Trail Blazers' game-winning basket, told reporters. "Just showing the fight, not losing by 20, guys fighting back, showing that toughness we've been looking for all season." Devin Booker scored 30 points in the loss and is averaging 28.3 since returning from a four-game layoff.

ABOUT THE PELICANS (33-26): Jrue Holiday scored 28 of his 36 points after halftime to fuel the comeback win over the Bucks, and he's averaging 26.4 over his last five games. "I was just being aggressive, really," Holiday told reporters. "I forced some issues and made some shots. Kind of at that point, I started feeling more comfortable knocking down shots. From there, I just kept being aggressive." Anthony Davis added 27 points and 13 rebounds for his fifth straight double-double.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Holiday has made at least 50 percent of his shots in four consecutive contests and is shooting a career-high 49.1 percent overall.

2. Suns C Tyson Chandler (neck) has missed three straight games.

3. New Orleans has averaged 114 points while winning four straight meetings with Phoenix.

PREDICTION: Pelicans 107, Suns 103
