Last Meeting ( Mar 13, 2017 ) Orlando 115, Sacramento 120
The Orlando Magic are coming off an improbable victory while the Sacramento Kings are finding winning to be highly elusive. Somebody will leave the court victorious on Tuesday, when the Magic host the Kings in the follow-up to an impressive triumph in Boston.
Orlando halted its 14-game losing streak in Boston with Sunday's stellar 103-95 victory that represented only its third win in its last 20 contests. "It feels good, of course, and we're just looking to continue it," Magic forward Aaron Gordon told reporters following Monday's practice. "We'll come out and play hard. We're playing really hard now, and that's good. Everybody is contributing, everybody is making plays for one another and we're really playing as a team." Sacramento dropped a 112-107 decision to Charlotte on Monday and is 0-2 on its six-game road trip. Overall, the Kings have lost eight straight and 11 of their last 12, with seven of the setbacks coming by double digits.

ABOUT THE KINGS (13-33): Sacramento avoided another double-digit defeat on Monday as it rallied to make the contest close despite trailing by 20 points in the third quarter. Buddy Hield helped the Kings get back in the game by scoring 10 of his 18 points in the final period, and he expressed afterward that togetherness has been an issue for the struggling team. "We've all got to come collectively as a group and want to win," Hield told reporters. "It's tough when you're not winning. You've got to learn how to win, and it's a learning process right now how to finish games when you're down 10, 12, with five minutes to go and try to find a way to execute."
ABOUT THE MAGIC (14-32): Orlando played one of its top games of the season against Boston and received great play from the reserves as it had a 38-8 advantage in bench points. Elfrid Payton scored 22 points against the Celtics for his third effort of 19 or more over the last four contests, while Evan Fournier added 19 points to reach double figures for the 19th consecutive contest, including 12 straight since returning from an ankle injury. "I thought Payton was the leader of the pack," Magic coach Frank Vogel told reporters regarding a third quarter in which Orlando outscored Boston 32-12. "The Elfrid in the third quarter was the guy driving the engine."
