Let’s call it like it is—this is a very personal matchup for Jalen Brunson. The Indiana Pacers have eliminated the New York Knicks in each of the last two seasons, and that history matters. Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard have given Brunson trouble in the past, but their defensive impact isn’t what it was during those playoff runs. Without Tyrese Haliburton, both players are now carrying significantly more offensive responsibility, which naturally limits how much energy they can devote to slowing Brunson down. With Ivica Zubac also sidelined (tanking), the Pacers’ interior defense becomes far more vulnerable. That opens the door for Brunson to consistently exploit the lane with his footwork and finishing around the rim. I price Brunson closer to -185 to clear the over 25.5 points.
