Donovan Mitchell is the type of player who could drop 50 in any NBA game if he wanted to — it’s just a long season, and he picks his spots. Monday sets up as one of those spots. He’s facing his former team, the Utah Jazz, who are starting one of the weakest defensive backcourts in the league. Keyonte George has been excellent offensively, but his defense ranks among the worst in the NBA, and Brice Sensabaugh isn’t much better. Add in the improved spacing Sam Merrill has provided since returning from injury, and this shapes up as a game where Mitchell could easily push past 30 points if he chooses. Against his former team, the motivation should be there. I think this prop should be priced closer to -135 than -110.
