Spencer Jones connected on a pair of 3-pointers in a 14-1, game-opening run Tuesday night that allowed unbeaten Stanford to coast to an 76-55 victory over visiting Maryland-Eastern Shore in a nonconference game.
Jaiden Delaire led all scorers with 21 points and Oscar da Silva chipped in with 16 as the Cardinal (5-0) shot 54.0 percent en route to their fifth straight home win.
Canaan Bartley had 10 points to lead UMES (0-5).
Da Silva got Stanford rolling with a three-point play in the second minute of the game, after which Jones' 3-pointers sandwiched one by Daejon Davis for a quick 12-1 lead.
Delaire capped the 14-1 burst with a jumper 7:25 into the game.
Stanford went on to lead 23-5 and 38-12 before settling for a 46-16 halftime advantage.
The Hawks were never closer than 19 points in the second half.
Jones finished with 12 points and Tyrell Terry 10 for the Cardinal, whose previously defeated Montana, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and Santa Clara.
All of Jones' scoring came on four 3-point hoops as the Cardinal shot 9-for-17 (52.9 percent) from beyond the arc.
Bryce Wills grabbed a team-high six rebounds for Stanford, which outrebounded the guests 34-27.
Bartley made both his 3-point attempts for the Hawks, who went 7-for-19 (36.8 percent) on threes.
Da'Shawn Phillip (eight points) and Ahmad Frost (six) also hit a pair of 3-pointers for UMES, which lost its first four games to Penn State, Liberty, Longwood and Morehead State.
Gabriel Gyamfi grabbed a team-high five rebounds for the Hawks.
