Josh Nebo scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half, and Quenton Jackson tallied 14 of his 16 points after halftime as Texas A&M rolled to a 68-51 win over hapless Missouri on Tuesday in SEC action in College Station, Texas.
The Aggies led by seven points at the half but Missouri cut its deficit to 30-29 on a dunk by Jeremiah Tilmon with 16:05 to play. Texas A&M responded with 13-2 run, however, capped by three free throws by Quenton Jackson at the 11:36 mark. The Tigers got closer than nine points the rest of the way.
Wendell Mitchell added 12 points for the Aggies (11-10, 5-4) while Emanuel Miller hit for 10 points and took 13 rebounds and Savion Flagg grabbed 10 rebounds. Texas A&M has won three of its past five, alternating between wins and losses.
The Aggies, who earned a 49-30 rebounding edge in the win, swept the season series after having beat Missouri 66-64 in the teams' first meeting on Jan. 21 in Columbia, Mo.
No Tigers player scored in double figures, with Mitchell Smith leading the way with 9 points. Missouri (10-12, 2-7) has lost six of its last seven games and eight of its past 10 outings.
Both teams shot poorly in the first half, with Texas A&M managing to make just 8 of 30 shots (27 percent) while the Tigers hit only 5 of 21 (24 percent) and went the final 5:04 of the half without a field goal.
The Aggies led 25-18 at halftime thanks to Mitchell's eight points (he made both of A&M's 3-pointers in the half) and by outrebounding Missouri 25-16, including a 12-5 edge on the offensive glass that led to 11 second-chance points.
Kobe Brown and Xavier Pinson paced the Tigers in the first half with five points each; Missouri's 18 first-half points were a season low.
