Emanuel Miller scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Texas A&M used a late rally to defeat Georgia 74-69 on Saturday in College Station, Texas.
Georgia (12-13, 2-10 SEC) led 57-53 with 6:38 to go, but Texas A&M (12-12, 6-6) answered with a 21-12 finishing kick.
Miller scored with 6:16 left to make the score 57-55. A&M's Josh Nebo made a jumper to tie the score at 59 at the 4:32 mark. Miller made two free throws to put Texas A&M in the lead for good at 61-59, with 3:48 remaining.
Georgia, down 64-63, had one possession with a chance to take the lead, but Rayshaun Hammonds lost the ball to A&M's Wendell Mitchell, who raced downcourt for a three-point play with 1:22 left.
Mitchell grabbed another steal just moments later, creating a dunk by Savion Flagg, who gave A&M a 69-63 lead at the 1:05 mark. Texas A&M made five free throws in the final minute to keep Georgia at bay.
Mitchell scored 13 points for the Aggies, who placed five scorers in double figures. Miller hit 11 of 14 free throw attempts.
Hammonds finished with 15 points and seven rebounds for Georgia. Tyree Crump added 11. Freshman star Anthony Edwards was held to six points.
Georgia took a 38-26 lead with 1:21 left in the first half and held a 38-29 lead at halftime. Texas A&M began the second half by limiting Georgia to two points in five minutes. An 11-2 run by the Aggies tied the game at 40 with 15:05 remaining.
Texas A&M forced 21 Georgia turnovers. The Aggies committed only 11 turnovers. A&M also made 21 of 29 free throw attempts, while Georgia was 12 of 14.
