Tyler Bey had 21 points and 15 rebounds -- his 10th double-double of the season -- to lead No. 16 Colorado to a 69-47 win over Oregon State in a Pac-12 game at Corvallis, Ore., on Saturday night.
Bey responded after scoring only four points in a loss at Oregon on Thursday. Colorado (20-6, 9-4 Pac-12) is alone atop the conference standings with the victory.
McKinley Wright added 13 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Buffaloes, who have yet to lose consecutive games in conference play this season.
Oregon State (15-10, 5-8) was led by Ethan Thompson's 17 points, five rebounds and four assists. He was 7 of 17 from the field and missed all five of his 3-point attempts.
Tres Tinkle's streak of double-digit scoring games increased to 90, a new school record, passing Mel Counts (1961-64). Tinkle did not reach the mark until he made a free throw with 2:45 left in regulation. He finished with 10 points on 3-of-15 shooting and had 13 rebounds.
Bey had 10 points on 4-of-5 shots from the field, and Shane Gatling was perfect with his three shots, two from 3-point range, at halftime to lead Colorado to a 31-22 lead.
The Beavers had a 14-4 edge in points in the paint at the half, mostly because they were inefficient from beyond the arc at 1 of 10.
Oregon State went 0 of 7 after the break to finish 1 of 17 from 3-point range and shot 33.3 percent overall. The Beavers were never a threat in the second half, as Colorado led by double-digits throughout. They were also cold from the free-throw line, making only 8 of 17 attempts.
Colorado made nine 3-pointers, including 5 of 10 from that range in the second half. Gatling, Wright and Maddox Daniels each made two 3-pointers for the Buffaloes.
Colorado also controlled the rebounds 45-35, which helped the Buffaloes get 13 second-chance points.
