Filip Petrusev scored 25 points to lead a balanced Gonzaga offense and the No. 8 Bulldogs crushed Arkansas-Pine Bluff 110-60 on Saturday night in Spokane, Wash.
All five Gonzaga starters scored in double figures. Ryan Woolridge scored 14 points to go along five rebounds and nine assists, Admon Gilder added 15 points, Anton Watson chipped in with 12 points and eight boards, and Corey Kispert recorded 10 points.
The Zags (2-0) played without Killian Tillie, who is recovering from knee surgery, but the 6-foot-10 senior wasn't needed as the West Coast Conference power ran past its Southwestern Athletic Conference foe.
Shaun Doss led Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-2) with 15 points.
Pine Bluff hung with the Bulldogs for the game's first six minutes and trailed just 17-16 after a jumper from Jamil Wilson.
Woolridge connected on back-to-back 3-pointers and Drew Timme, who recorded 15 points off the bench, added a layup and a free throw and suddenly Gonzaga was up 26-16. The Bulldogs' lead swelled to 31-16 before Terrance Banyard stopped the bleeding with a pair of free throws for the Golden Lions.
The Bulldogs extended their lead to 19 when Woolridge sank two free throws, making the score 41-22 with less than six minutes until intermission.
Gonzaga closed out the half on a 15-8 run to take a 56-30 lead at the break. The Bulldogs' offense shot 58.6 percent (17 of 29) for the half while the Golden Lions struggled to 43.5 percent (10-for-23) from the field.
Gonzaga finished the game making 35 of 56 field-goal attempts (62.5 percent) while Pine Bluff finished at 41.1 percent (23-for-56).
Petrusev and Gilder combined for the first 12 Gonzaga points of the second half as the lead grew to 68-34. Six straight points by Petrusev pushed the lead to 81-37 with more than 11 minutes left.
Pavel Zakharov gave the Bulldogs their biggest lead of the game at 101-45 with a free throw at the 4:50 mark of the game.
