MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Freshman reserve Teddy Allen scored a season-high 24 points, and No. 10 West Virginia snapped out of a first-half funk to roll past winless Coppin State 77-38.
Allen added nine rebounds, Jevon Carter scored 14 points, James Bolden had 12 for West Virginia. Daxter Miles made only 4 of 13 shots but scored 11 points, including a 3-pointer early in the second half that boosted him over 1,000 for his Mountaineers career.
West Virginia forced 28 turnovers.
The Mountaineers (10-1) won their 10th straight despite opening the game 5-for-24 from the floor.
Tre Thomas scored nine points to lead Coppin State (0-12), which shot 23.4 percent while playing its 11th game away from home.
After sputtering to an 18-17 lead, West Virginia closed the final 5:02 of the half on a 24-1 run.
Allen scored 16 of those points, beginning with a four-point play when he was fouled on a jumper in front of the Coppin State bench. He later made a midcourt steal leading to a pull-up 3-pointer, and his put-back of a missed shot at the halftime buzzer made the margin 42-18.
West Virginia shot 31.2 percent (24 of 77) from the field, while Coppin State hit just 11 of 47.
Coppin State was outrebounded 56-41.
