Moses Moody, JD Notae and Desi Sills combined for 58 points and Justin Smith had 10 rebounds to lead Arkansas to an 85-72 win over Abilene Christian on Tuesday at Fayetteville, Ark.
Moody led all scorers with 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-5 success from 3-point range for the Razorbacks (8-0).
Notae had 19 points, hitting 6 of 12 from the field, including 3 of 6 from beyond the arc. Sills had 18 points.
Abilene Christian (7-2) was led by Clay Gayman, who scored 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range. Three other Wildcats scored in double figures -- Coryon Mason (12 points), Kolton Kohl (11) and Joe Pleasant (10).
Arkansas shot 44.1 percent from the field and was 9 of 25 from 3-point range. The Razorbacks also made 24 of 30 free-throw attempts.
Abilene Christian's only lead came at 1-0 on a Kohl foul shot in the first minute of the game.
Arkansas led by as many as 21 points in the first half before taking a 47-31 into halftime.
At that point, Sills had 16 points and Moody had nine. The Razorbacks made 53.8 percent from the field while Abilene Christian was at 39.4 percent from the floor, including a 1-of-11 performance from beyond the arc.
Abilene Christian cut the deficit to 77-68 with 3:27 left in the game on a Gayman 3-pointer, but the Wildcats could not come closer after Notae hit two 3-pointers on Arkansas' next three possessions.
Arkansas outrebounded Abilene Christian 39-28 but was outscored 40-24 in the paint.
The Razorbacks were effective on put-backs with 15 second-chance points and their transition game (11 fastbreak points) complemented their shooting from beyond the arc.
Arkansas next plays a Southeastern Conference game at Auburn on Dec. 30. Abilene Christian, which entered the game outscoring opponents by an average of 18.4 points, will host Dallas Christian on Dec. 29.
