Romello White scored 30 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, and Devontae Shuler hit a fadeaway jump shot from the top of the key in the final second of overtime to lift Ole Miss over host Auburn, 86-84, Saturday in a Southeastern Conference game at Auburn Arena.
Ole Miss (10-8, 5-6), which led for just 8:44 of Saturday's 45 minutes, surrendered a five-point lead in the final 39 seconds of overtime.
But after Sharife Cooper scored five consecutive points to force the tie, Shuler answered with the final two of his 26 points. Cooper had 15 points and 14 assists for Auburn (10-10, 4-7).
White's outstanding performance for Ole Miss included scoring the final points in a second-half-long comeback to force overtime, part of a 14-of-18 shooting performance from the floor.
Then, in the extra period, White blocked two point-blank Auburn shot attempts, including a dunk, that the Rebels converted into points.
Auburn opened the second half on a 10-2 that pushed its lead to 14 points, but Ole Miss chipped away at the deficit. An 11-3 Rebels run lasting a little more than four minutes, and a 7-0 spurt culminating in a White lay-in, pulled Ole Miss to within a point before the final media timeout.
The Rebels forced a 72-72 tie with a minute remaining when White tipped in Jarkel Joiner's missed runner. Both teams had looks to move ahead before the end of regulation, but Cooper missed a long 3-pointer and Shuler's off-balance jumper just before the buzzer rimmed off.
The win completes a season sweep for Ole Miss over Auburn and comes on the heels of a 52-50 win over No. 11-ranked Tennessee on Tuesday.
For Auburn, Saturday marked its third consecutive loss since it upset Missouri on Jan. 26.
Jaylin Williams, Devan Cambridge and Allen Flanigan scored 16 points each to lead the Tigers. Cambridge added seven rebounds, and Dylan Cardwell chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.
Robert Allen scored 12 points for Ole Miss, and Luis Rodriguez had nine rebounds and three assists.
